The Carrier API Integration section allows administrators to manage carrier APIs seamlessly within the Skyship platform. This feature facilitates communication with carrier portals using integrated APIs for various operations.
Carrier List: View and manage a comprehensive list of all integrated carriers available on the platform.
API Key Management: Admins can configure and manage API keys required for authentication with carrier APIs directly from this section.
Endpoint Configuration: Set up and manage endpoints for API communication, ensuring reliable connectivity with carrier portals.
Mode Settings: Toggle between live mode and sandbox mode settings. Live mode enables real-time interactions with carriers for customer activities like shipment booking and tracking. Sandbox mode allows for testing and development purposes without affecting live operations.
Commission %
The Commission % feature in Skyship allows administrators to configure commission rates for both custom carriers and aggregator companies integrated into the system. This setting enables administrators to earn a specified percentage of commission on each shipment booking processed through the platform.
Custom Carrier Commission: Administrators can set a commission percentage for custom carriers such as DHL, DTDC, Ecom, and others. When a customer requests a shipment quote, the system retrieves the master pricing from the custom carrier. It then calculates the shipment freight and adds the configured commission percentage to the calculated price. The total amount, including the commission, is displayed to the customer.
Aggregator Commission: For aggregator companies like Nibuspost, Pickker, Rocketexpress, where the system does not maintain master pricing, the freight cost is fetched directly from the aggregator's API. Admins can set a commission percentage, which is added to the direct freight amount obtained from the aggregator's API. The total amount, inclusive of the commission, is presented to the customer.
