The Product Management section in Skyship empowers administrators to oversee and manage all available shipping products offered by carriers within the platform. This feature ensures that administrators can efficiently control the visibility and availability of products for customer shipment bookings.
Product Listing: View a comprehensive list of all shipping products available for each carrier integrated into Skyship.
Add, Edit, and Delete Products: Admins can add new products, modify existing ones, and deactivate products as needed. Deactivating a product removes it from customer view, while keeping historical data intact.
Product Details: Access detailed information about each product, including pricing, weight restrictions, dimensions, and any special conditions or features.
Activation/Deactivation: Toggle the status of products between active and inactive states. Inactive products are not displayed to customers when they request shipment pricing.

In Skyship, the Product Management feature plays a crucial role in facilitating accurate shipment pricing for customers based on their order details. Here’s how the process works:
Order Data Collection: When a customer requests shipment pricing, the system collects essential order data including:
From and To Pincodes: Identifies the origin and destination locations for the shipment.
Order Weight: Determines the weight of the shipment, crucial for calculating shipping costs.
Dimensions: Considers the dimensions (length, width, height) of the shipment to determine package size and any dimensional weight charges.
Additional Details: Any special requirements or services requested by the customer.
Product Availability and Pricing: Based on the collected order data, Skyship dynamically presents all available shipping products that match the customer’s requirements. This includes:
Carrier-Specific Products: Displays products offered by each integrated carrier that match the shipment parameters (e.g., weight, dimensions, service type).
Detailed Product Information: Provides comprehensive details for each product, including:
Service Type: Such as express delivery, standard shipping, freight forwarding, etc.
Pricing: Clearly lists the cost associated with each product, considering factors like weight, dimensions, and any additional services selected by the customer.
Delivery Timeframes: Estimates the expected delivery timeframes for each product option, ensuring customers have clear expectations.
